Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has stated that no actress in the industry has managed to obtain a G-Wagon solely through acting in films.

Solade made this statement while answering questions on an episode of the Honest Bunch podcast, clarifying that the funds required to obtain such a luxury vehicle are not given to anyone solely through an acting role, but rather through other avenues within the industry.

As per Yemi Solade, an actress can earn such funds through movie production rather than acting.

No actress will admit to owning a G-Wagon, which she purchased using her earnings from acting.

It’s possible from acting, but how much are they willing to pay you, 50 million?

The seasoned actor mentioned that female actors could have additional income streams that help them afford a G-Wagon, noting that he wasn’t dismissing the possibility that such vehicles are also presented to actresses as presents.

They might have side jobs, but I’m not aware of what they are.

Then again, some are gifts, I choose to believe that. Yes, now, that’s a fitting gift for a G-wagon.

When asked why men in the same field aren’t receiving such gifts, the actor mentioned that witnessing those gift-givers might involve embarking on a journey.

“Perhaps we should embark on a journey to find them,” he added.

Tribune Online states that Solade has recently been in the spotlight for asserting that he began acting before another established Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, and emphasized that the Yoruba community should be acknowledged not only for initiating the Nollywood industry but also for its development, pointing out that a Yoruba individual produced the first locally made video by a Nigerian.
