Veteran actor Segun Remi, widely recognized as Chief Kanran, has been buried after passing away on August 15, 2025.

A 70-year-old individual, renowned for his outstanding work in the Yoruba film sector, was laid to rest on Friday, September 12, at his home in Beckley Estate, Abule Egba, Lagos.

Although the reason for his death is not revealed, his demise has brought the film industry to grief.

Footage posted on CityPeopleTV’s Instagram account displayed the late actor’s body inside a white coffin during the wake.

During a deeply moving moment, his older sister was overwhelmed with emotion as she saw his body, and was comforted by family members and well-wishers.
