Kate Bedingfield, a political analyst for CNN, had a disagreement with a well-known conservative strategistScott Jenningson Tuesday regarding comments made by Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) about a conservative activistCharlie Kirk’s murder last week.
Shapiro stated, “We have a clear and unambiguous duty to denounce every type of political violence” during aspeechHe spoke on Tuesday. He also criticized President Donald Trump for “selectively highlighting” instances of political violence for public discussion to serve political motives. His remarks occur during a period of significant discussion regarding the ideological views of the individual who killed Kirk on a university campus in Utah.
Jennings alleged that Shapiro was not truthful in his statements, a point that Bedingfield disputed. Jennings, on the other hand, tried to promote the idea that left-wing organizations in America aremore violent than Right-wing groups.

I believe there’s a rush among Democrats aiming to run for president in 2028 to somehow link the shooting of Donald Trump’s friend and have everyone blame Trump for it,” Jennings stated. “I suppose that’s what it takes to become president.
Bedingfield explained Shapiro’s view that it is irrelevant which political party the shooter belonged to. She stated that all forms of political violence should be denounced.
Jennings resisted, stating that the killer’s reasons are significant.
It deserves to be criticized regardless,” Bedingfield stated. “That was the main purpose of his speech. To sit here and imply that his failure to mention it was a form of deception, you have completely overlooked the core message he was conveying, and it’s a crucial message for this country.
