The government of Sindh has chosen to eliminate the conventional file system and has mandated that all provincial ministers, advisors, and assistants utilize laptops during every cabinet meeting.
The Department of General Administration is set to acquire laptops and distribute them to the cabinet members. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Section Officer has already initiated training sessions for the members on how to use the devices, helping them become familiar with their operation. All the agenda items of a cabinet meeting will now be stored on laptops, which will not be shared with anyone except the ministers and other cabinet members. Similarly, the meeting minutes and decisions made will also be kept on these laptops. Many ministers and advisors in the provincial cabinet lack the necessary skills to use laptops.
