There is a significant amount of furniture in the hotel inspired by horror films, which isn’t particularly engaging, and guests might not even take note of it, but what’s the harm in being precise?
There’s plenty of that. I recently rewatched all the horror films I enjoyed, and took elements like furniture, curtains, and wallpaper from them, then provided these to our artists as ideas for populating our world and making it more vivid and tailored to the genre.
We must quickly rewatch and spot all those hidden details…
