FriendliAI, a company specializing in AI inference services, revealed on October 16 this year that it will organize the ‘FriendliAI Seoul Meetup 2025’ at Space Share Samsung Station in Seoul. The event’s focus is on ‘The Future of K-AI,’ with four of the five firms chosen by the government as the initial K-AI top teams this year set to attend.

This gathering features involvement from the LG AI Research Institute, Upstage, NC AI, and SK Telecom, representing the first time since being chosen as top teams that they have come together. FriendliAI looks forward to the event serving as a stage to showcase South Korea’s position in areas like foundation models, multimodal AI, agent AI, and inference platforms. The members of the elite team also intend to demonstrate cutting-edge AI technologies and applications tailored to specific industries.

The presentation sessions will include: ▲Chun Byung-gon, CEO of FriendliAI – ‘Large-Scale AI Inference in Real-World Services’ ▲Lee Jin-sik, Executive Managing Director of LG AI Research Institute – ‘Toward Agent AI: The Future of the AI Industry’ ▲’SK Telecom’s Agent AI’ ▲Lee Hwal-seok, Chief Technology Officer of Upstage – ‘The Present and Future of the AI B2B Market’ ▲Lee Yeon-su, CEO of NC AI – ‘Multimodal AI: Shaping the Future of the Content Industry.’

FriendliAI is currently collaborating with the LG AI Research Institute’s K-AI initiative and focuses on accelerating AI inference and lowering costs. It has technology that cuts GPU infrastructure expenses by up to 50% or more and provides an easy-to-use AI development and deployment platform. In January of this year, Hugging Face, the world’s leading AI platform, included FriendliAI’s AI deployment solution in its official distribution options for the first time as a startup. In August, it garnered considerable industry attention after securing a substantial investment of 2.75 billion South Korean won in a seed extension round.

The LG AI Research Institute stands among the top companies in the agentic AI era, utilizing its hybrid AI model ‘Exaone 4.0.’ SK Telecom is pushing forward its shift into an AI-focused company via its consumer AI platform ‘Adot’ and internal AI agent ‘Adot Biz.’ Upstage is fostering progress in the enterprise AI sector through its independently developed pre-trained large language model (LLM). NC AI is aiming for the multimodal AI industry and content market, leveraging more than 14 years of development expertise. Moreover, the companies participating in this event are also key clients of FriendliAI.

The gathering will start with an opening speech at 6:20 p.m., continue with talks until 8:30 p.m., and then include a socializing period. To sign up, look for ‘FriendliAI’ on the event platforms Luma, Onoffmix, or EventUs.

FriendliAI’s CEO, Chun Byung-gon, said, “This gathering presents a meaningful chance for five top domestic AI companies to come together,” and mentioned, “We aim for it to develop into a networking hub where attendees can exchange knowledge and discover potential partnership prospects. FriendliAI will strive to make sure this event functions as a space for the sharing and progress of AI concepts.”
