The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has canceled all fees for telecommunications firms installing subterranean cable systems over the upcoming three years.

The goal is to enhance accessible, rapid internet connectivity throughout the province by reducing construction expenses and stimulating telecommunications development.

The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, stated that this effort will assist in closing the digital gap and aid students, independent workers, companies, and critical services.

He mentioned that improved connectivity will speed up the province’s digital transformation and economic development.

Earlier, telecom companies had to pay five rupees per meter to the National Highway Authority for installing cables.
