Lady Helena Abena Tackie, spouse of Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has drawn interest after her most recent public outing with her husband.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II organized a unique lunch event at the Manhyia Palace to celebrate the former Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso.
The Asantehene also organized the gathering as a farewell celebration for the previous Vice-Chancellor after he was appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as Ghana’s High Commissioner to India.
Several notable figures, such as professors from KNUST, attended the farewell lunch.
Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II also made an unexpected appearance as the special guest along with his wife, Lady Helena.

A popular TikTok video featured Lady Helena Abena Tackie, originally from Ejisu in Ghana’s Ashanti Region, standing with the Ga Mantse, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso, and several KNUST representatives as they took group pictures in front of the Jubilee Hall at the Manhyia Palace.
The group photographs represented a strong emblem of togetherness, shared respect, and lasting camaraderie within a single community.

She appeared refined and beautiful in her white lace dress and headscarf while accompanying her husband and the Asantehene into the hall. She also shared friendly greetings with several guests who attended the event.
Lady Helena was later spotted sitting next to Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II and Otumfuo Osei Tutu II while they watched the events at the exclusive lunch.
She also observed as the Asantehene honored Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso for his long-term commitment to KNUST and the country.
Otumfuo also showed belief in his capacity to showcase Ghana with pride as High Commissioner to India and encouraged him to keep maintaining the principles of Asanteman and the drive for excellence in all his assignments.
Her presence at the event was a rare occurrence for the Ga Mantse’s wife, who has stayed away from public attention despite her position within the Ga Traditional community.
She was last spotted at a public event in May 2024, during which she carried out the traditional ceremonies for the funeral of her father-in-law, Dr Ebenezer Nii Armah Tackie.
