The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) announced on Sunday that the first super moon of the season will be visible on the evening of October 7 (tomorrow). An official from SUPARCO stated that the super moon will emerge from the east at 8:47 PM and disappear in the west. According to media reports, this super moon will appear approximately 6.6 percent larger and shine 13 percent more brightly than a typical full moon. The commission also noted that the planet Saturn will be visible near the super moon, positioned slightly to its left on October 6 and 7. This super moon marks the beginning of several special lunar events expected this year. The most luminous one is scheduled for November. SUPARCO mentioned that two additional super moons are anticipated, one on November 5 and another on December 5. The super moon in November will be the brightest of the year as the moon will be at its closest point to Earth, roughly 221,817 miles (357,344 km) away. Residents across Pakistan will have the opportunity to witness this remarkable celestial event, starting an exciting period for astronomy enthusiasts in 2025.
