Sri Lanka, October 7 – The Delmege Group observed World Children’s Day 2025 with a significant event held at Veluwana College in Colombo 9, which serves almost 600 students from Grade 1 through 13.

The Delmege team, headed by Dinusha Bhaskaran, the Managing Director of Vallibel One (the parent company of Delmege Group), along with senior officials and employees, received a warm welcome from the Principal, faculty members, and the college cadet group. The vibrant event began with the raising of the National and School flags, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.

The event included the singing of the school anthem, sincere expressions of thanks from the Principal and educators, along with engaging performances by teachers who decided to showcase their abilities for the students as a sign of appreciation. A well-known comedian also brought happiness and laughter to the event, making it an unforgettable day for the children. As part of the festivities, Delmege handed out important learning resources, sports gear, and snacks to the students.

Furthermore, the Alcon Surgical Division of Delmege Healthcare, working together with Vision Care, arranged a unique eye clinic, boosting the significance of the project. This impactful initiative demonstrated Delmege’s strong dedication to education, community health, and the overall growth of children, providing not just tangible assistance, but also making unforgettable memories for the students at Veluwana College.
