Pakistan, October 7 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was awarded an honorary PhD in Leadership and Governance by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The honor was conferred by Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, Queen of Pahang and constitutional head of IIUM. The event was held in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday. PM Shehbaz thanked the institution and described it as a significant recognition from a prestigious organization.

He stated that leadership is a holy responsibility, not a benefit. He stressed the importance of integrity, fairness, and responsibility as essential traits. He also conveyed optimism for enhanced academic collaboration between IIUM and Pakistani universities.
