The Juapong D/A Junior High School (JHS) will celebrate its 25th anniversary, highlighting a quarter of a century committed to academic excellence, community growth, and student advancement.
The week-long celebration, themed 25 Years of Academic Achievement: Honoring Our History, Looking Toward Our Tomorrow, concludes on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the school’s location in Juapong, North Tongu district, Volta Region.
The event will include numerous activities designed to examine the school’s progress, enhance connections within the community, and motivate future students.
The schedule features a parade along the main streets of Juapong on Tuesday to mark the start of the celebrations, followed by a neighborhood cleaning event on Wednesday starting at Podoe Junction and extending to the Juapong Post Office and Police Station.
On Thursday, October 9, the school will host its grand durbar, which is set to be the standout event of the anniversary celebration.
Notable guests who will be present include Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Madam Victoria Yawa Amefadzi Doe, District Chief Executive for North Tongu; and Regina Isabella Ayimey, District Director of Education. Veronica Mensah, former School Improvement and Support Officer (SISO) for Juapong Circuit A, will also be in attendance.
The event will reach its peak on Friday, October 10 with an exciting day of indoor and outdoor activities involving Juapong D/A JHS and its affiliated schools — a meaningful demonstration of togetherness and energetic youth that has been the school’s hallmark for years.
Chairperson of the School Management Committee (SMC), Agamah Agbenyega, along with Forson Macarthy, Chairperson of the Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A); Patience Yawa Dzifa Asempa, Headmistress; and Philip Atsu Tetteh, SISO for Juapong Circuit A, collectively invited the public, alumni, and education partners to participate in this significant celebration.
Since it was founded in 2000, Juapong D/A JHS has continued to be a vital center for education in the area, nurturing students who have achieved academic success and made significant contributions to the country’s growth.
The 25th anniversary serves not only as a moment for contemplation but also as a chance to restate the school’s dedication to developing tomorrow’s leaders.
