Accra, Oct. 8, GNA – Demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility, Ms. Nadine Jaber, CEO of Cosmo Developers, has presented various essential learning and well-being supplies to the Manhean T.M.A. 1 Junior High School in Tema.
The contribution included office supplies, school backpacks, student desks, personal hygiene items, and snacks, such as more than 200 bottles of mineral water and various soft drinks.
The action is an element of Cosmo Developers’ dedication to enhancing the educational setting and supporting student health in the areas where it functions.
Educators and students, who came together to observe the presentation, conveyed deep appreciation for the timely assistance.
“This contribution goes beyond providing materials; it’s about letting these students know they are valued. Education forms the basis of every successful community, and we at Cosmo Developers are pleased to support its advancement,” said Ms. Jaber.
She stated, “My business is working to enhance the beauty of Ghana through the construction of impressive structures, and I enjoy contributing to the community because I believe the community will reciprocate in the future.”
Ms. Jaber also praised the educators and administration of the institution for their commitment to nurturing future generations.
“Education is a challenging profession, yet students can occasionally ease the burden. Therefore, I urge you, the students, to assist your teachers, as you represent the future of Ghana,” she stated.
School officials called the donation timely, mentioning that the desks would help reduce overcrowding in classrooms, while the stationery and backpacks would foster greater involvement in lessons. They also mentioned that the hygiene products and snacks would enhance cleanliness and improve student spirits.
“When companies step in to support our schools, it brings us a lot of happiness, as many of our students come from difficult home situations, where their parents are having trouble covering basic expenses. Some of them have to work after school to afford study materials, while others attend classes without having eaten,” said Ms. Christiana Ablakwa, Deputy Director for Monitoring and Supervision at the Tema Metropolitan Education Directorate.
The award ceremony featured cultural performances by the students, who also handed over a handcrafted appreciation card and a bouquet of flowers to Ms. Jaber and her team.
Also in attendance at the ceremony were Ms. Gifty Adjoa Mensah, the school’s headmistress, and Ms. Rita Brown Fletcher, the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) for the Awudum Circuit.
Cosmo Developers has promised to keep backing educational programs throughout the nation, reiterating its dedication to fostering community growth and empowering young people.
