Rotimax Pest Control Training Academy, the first certified vocational institution in Nigeria specializing in fumigation and pest control, marked its 12th anniversary by honoring three dedicated employees who have served for many years.

Founded in 2013 as the educational branch of Rotimax Integrated Services Limited, the academy has provided training to more than 3,000 people in the field of pest control and has organized national pest control conferences in collaboration with Lagos State in 2017 and 2019.

At the event held on Monday, Provost Dr. Tolu addressed the choice to merge the anniversary celebration with a recognition of the staff.

“Today marks the 12th anniversary of the academy, and it’s a time to celebrate three dedicated employees who have each been with us for at least five years. Their unwavering commitment, hard work, and outstanding performance in their roles have made them stand out for recognition,” he said.

Dr. Tolu explained that the gesture was not part of a continuous policy but rather an optional choice to honor the outstanding employees. “It’s not something that will happen every year. We simply felt it was appropriate to recognize these three remarkable staff members at this time,” he further mentioned.

The recipients thanked the organization for the acknowledgment. Acting General Manager and Human Resource Manager, Dandola Aruwodjulu, called the award more significant than monetary benefits. “So far, this is the best company I have ever been part of, not due to the salary, but because of the camaraderie and leadership. Dr. Tolu is not just a supervisor; he is a leader and guide. Most of what I do in my private ventures, I learned from him,” he mentioned.

A different beneficiary shared a significant experience during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 when she went to the office on a day with a curfew and discovered she was the only one there. “That day marked a change. It brought back memories of the stability and assistance this company provides. It made me realize I was in the correct place, where accountability is appreciated,” she mentioned.

The third recipient viewed the honor as a motivation to keep striving for excellence. “This demonstrates that dedication is not in vain here. It has made me understand that every effort matters,” she remarked.

Established in 2010, Rotimax Integrated Services Limited offers pest control and fumigation solutions across the country. Its academy, accredited by both Lagos State and the Federal Ministry of Environment, has become a leader in vocational education within the pest management industry.
