Pakistan, Oct. 8 — GUJRAT – Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Zahoor Ul Haq has urged faculty members at the University of Gujrat (UoG) to boost their efforts in promoting a dynamic research environment, highlighting the significance of achieving the performance standards established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to improve the university’s reputation.

Leading a high-level gathering arranged by the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Prof. Dr Zahoor Ul Haq, who has been honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, urged unified dedication to enhance the research environment at UoG. The session was participated in by deans, directors, department heads, contact points, and senior academic staff.

“Working together, we can address the challenges in research,” he said, noting that meeting the key performance indicators (KPIs) established by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on time could greatly enhance the university’s position in rankings.

Director ORIC, Prof. Dr Audil Rashid, mentioned that the faculty is crucial in achieving HEC-ORIC standards. He highlighted that HEC’s 100-point system covers aspects like human resources, research quality, creativity, product development, environmental sustainability, and skill enhancement.

“Through ongoing collaborative efforts, we anticipate more significant outcomes in research and innovation next year,” said Dr. Audil Rashid.
