▶Page 101 of My Sad Legend

A unique exhibition organized to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Cheon Kyung-ja’s death. It showcases more than 80 of her colored paintings, which represent the most important aspect of her artistic journey. Artworks from 18 museums, galleries, and private collections are displayed together. The event will run until January 25th next year at Seokpa-jeong Seoul Museum of Art, with an admission fee of 20,000 Korean won for adults.

▶London Philharmonic

The London Philharmonic, under the direction of celebrated British conductor Edward Gardner, is set to present a concert in South Korea following a two-year hiatus. Pianist Son Yeol-eum will be featured in a performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The events are scheduled for the 14th and 15th at the Seoul Arts Center, the 16th at the Daejeon Seoul Arts Center, the 17th at the Busan Concert Hall, and the 18th at the Gyeonggi Arts Center. Ticket prices in Seoul vary from 60,000 to 280,000 Korean won.
▶Kim Dong-hyun & Lee Soo-bin
A collaborative performance by young violinists Kim Dong-hyun and Lee Soo-bin is scheduled to occur at Kumho Art Hall Yonsei on the 16th at 7:30 p.m. Kim Dong-hyun secured third place in the 2019 Tchaikovsky Competition, while Lee Soo-bin achieved third position in the 2023 Montreal Competition. The concert will include pieces by Telemann, Prokofiev, and Ysaÿe. 50,000 Korean won.

The event that fills the Gapyeong region with the charm of jazz every autumn is back. This year, the lineup includes a performance by the trio of internationally acclaimed guitarist Bill Frisell and four-time Grammy winner bassist Stanley Clarke. The festival will run from the 17th to the 19th at Jar Island in Gapyeong County, with ticket prices ranging from 44,000 to 198,000 South Korean won.

Showing at the Chungmu Art Center Black Box Theater in Seoul until next month’s 2nd, with ticket prices between 55,000 and 66,000 South Korean won.
