, October 14 — A 25-year-old fish seller was injured by bullets during a robbery at the Gouripur Fisheries Project in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla early Tuesday.
The injured, Amir Hossain, is the son of Abdul Awal from the upazila.
Referring to the victim’s brother, Badsha Mia, Inspector Md Faruk, who is responsible for the police camp at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, stated that a group of 10 to 12 armed thieves attacked the fisheries project close to Amirabad Bus Stand during the late hours and fired at Amir, causing him to be injured.
He was initially admitted to a nearby hospital and subsequently transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
