Pakistan, Oct. 14 — On Monday, the cost of 24-karat gold per tola hit a record high, climbing by Rs 5,500 to Rs 428,200 from Rs 422,700 the previous day, as reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold also went up by Rs 4,715 to Rs 367,112 from Rs 362,397, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose to Rs 336,531 from Rs 332,209, an increase of Rs 4,322. In the global market, gold prices also rose by $55 to reach $4,071, compared to $4,016 the day before. Similarly, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 147 to Rs 5,247, and 10 grams of silver went up by Rs 126 to Rs 4,498. Global silver prices were at $51.60, reflecting an increase of $1.47.
