Pakistan, October 14 — Pakistan has called on Kabul to uphold the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan and to refrain from making remarks about its internal affairs. The Foreign Office released this statement following criticism from an Afghan Taliban representative, Zabihullah Mujahid, regarding Pakistan’s police actions against the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protest in Muridke.
Previously, Mujahid conveyed his sadness regarding the fatalities that occurred during the confrontations between law enforcement and demonstrators. He mentioned that the protests were in line with Pakistan’s legal system and encouraged the government to cease the use of violence against its people. His remarks advocated for addressing concerns through conversation and mutual understanding, which Pakistan saw as an unwarranted involvement.
