Kathmandu, October 20 — Rising internal discontent within the Nepali Congress (NC) has grown stronger, as multiple party leaders are firmly against extending the term of the Central Working Committee (CWC).

Party officials have also called for an immediate declaration of a special general assembly.

During a press event held in the capital on Sunday, NC figures such as Guru Ghimire, Manoj Mani Acharya, and Devraj Chalise expressed their dissatisfaction with the way the party is being managed by the present leadership. They have also alleged that the leaders are intentionally postponing important meetings and hindering the standard procedure for leadership transition.
