Sri Lanka, October 23 — Meneth Sankalana took 12 wickets, helping the defending co-champions Devapathiraja College Rathgama defeat Gamini National School Bentota by 10 wickets in their opening match of the Under 13 inter-schools cricket tournament held in Bentota.

Meneth, an orthodox spinner from Devapathiraja College in Rathgama, took 12 wickets for 53 runs across both innings against Gamini National School in Bentota. Vimukthi Manathunga from Gurukula College in Kelaniya delivered strong all-round performances, scoring a century against Christ King College in Ja-Ela. Goshitha Gonzal of St. Anthony’s College in Wattala also scored a century against Wickramashila National School in Giriulla.
