Noman Ali, the left-arm spinner from Pakistan, has reached a significant career achievement by climbing to the second spot in the latest ICC Test bowlers’ rankings after delivering an outstanding performance during the Lahore Test against South Africa.

The impressive achievement enabled Noman to move up four positions, overtaking South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada – who dropped to fifth – and now being behind only India’s Ravichandran Ashwin, who remains at the top.

Alongside other Pakistani bowlers, Shaheen Afridi climbed three spots to achieve 19th position, Sajid Khan stays consistent at 21st, and Mohammad Abbas is placed 27th.

In the Test batting rankings, the top five stay the same as Joe Root, Harry Brook, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith, and Yashasvi Jaiswal continue to lead.

In Pakistan’s team, Saud Shakeel fell one position to 13th, whereas Mohammad Rizwan climbed four places to 16th. Babar Azam rose two spots to 22nd, and Agha Salman had a notable rise of eight positions to reach 30th.
