Sri Lanka, Oct. 23 — Tri Star Sports Club, Palamunai defeated Al-Arafa Sports Club, Palamunai by 08 wickets in the final to become champions and win the ‘T-20 Champion Trophy -2025’ in the limited overs hardball cricket competition organized by Qatar Friends Organization at the Palamunai Public grounds recently.
The head of the Qatar Friends Organization (QFO), Saleem Hafees, has arranged the competition, with teams such as Tri Star, Al-Arafa, Maroons, Evergreen, and Super Orchid from the Palamunai region in the Addalaichenai DS division taking part.
The Al-Arafa team, who batted first, managed to score 89 runs in their 20 overs. Tri Star team, in response, reached 90 runs with the loss of two wickets in the 10.2 overs.
M.Faiz from the Tri Star team was named Man of the Match, while his teammate A.Azik was selected as the Best Batsman.
The concluding event and the award ceremony took place with the sponsorship of the Qatar Friends Organization (QFO) President Saleem Hafees.
The award ceremony was graced by the presence of Farook Najith, the Vice-Chairman of the Addalaichenai Pradeshiya Sabha.
