Moto3 competitor Noah Dettwiler is in a critical but stable state after his crash during the Malaysian Grand Prix over the weekend.
His CIP Green Power team’s most recent social media update offered the first information since itdeclared on Sunday night that the Swiss cyclist was receiving several operations in Kuala Lumpur.
The most recent update, released roughly 24 hours following the last one, stated: “Noah has had multiple surgeries in the past few hours, and they were successful.”
As per the attending physicians, his state is stable yet remains severe.
We value your comprehension and request that the privacy of Noah and his family be honored. We appreciate all your amazing support and messages.
It was confirmed on Sunday that the other cyclist involved in the crash, newly crowned world champion Jose Antonio Rueda, has suffered only a concussion and a hand fracture.
Two horsemen collided during the practice lap before the race, and both were taken away from the location by helicopter.
The Swiss rider is participating in his second full season in Moto3 with the CIP Green Power team, after previously riding for CFMoto Prustel GP in 2024.
Francesco Bagnaiachallenged the choice to begin Sunday’s Moto3 race following the incident between Dettwiler and Rueda.
“To allow the young riders [in Moto3] to complete a 10-lap race under these circumstances, after witnessing helicopters taking two of them away, isn’t an ideal approach. I can’t comprehend it, but that’s just how it is,” Bagnaia stated on Sunday.
Fortunately, I’m not the one responsible for making these kinds of choices; I believe different approaches are taken that I wouldn’t have chosen, but that’s just how it is.
