- SHOP: The iPhone 16e offers longer battery life than previously available
Nowadays, many of us depend on a portable charger to ensure our phones remain functional when we are on the move. There’s nothing more frustrating than experiencing a dead battery during your journey, or when you need to call a taxi at the end of the evening.
Over the past few years, individuals have grown accustomed to having a large, cumbersome device that they carry with them to charge their phone whenever necessary.
So INIU have introduced their newPocket Rocket P50– the tiniest 10,000mAh power bank globally, weighing only 160g – to simplify life and reduce the weight of handbags.

The gadget, priced below £30, is available in a variety of charming colors and comfortably fits in your hand.
It has sufficient power to completely recharge youriPhone16 times faster, and can charge your phone from a low battery to approximately 60 percent in only 25 minutes.
INIU – with the slogan “Small size, big impact” – privately provided The Daily Mail’s Executive Science Editor Xantha Leatham with thedevice to test.
It easily fits into my bag and has rapidly turned into one of my most trusted items.
This portable charger delivers exactly as advertised. It is truly compact and lightweight, yet offers a fast charge for my constantly drained iPhone.
I’m continually amazed by how fast it charges my phone’s battery, so I don’t have to keep it connected for extended periods.
It was one of the most valuable devices I recently brought on my honeymoon, ensuring I didn’t have to stress about my phone or GoPro losing power during an adventure.
Furthermore, it is extremely affordable – priced just under £30 – and it’s probable that most of my family and friends will be getting one for Christmas.

INIU Pocket Rocket Review
Size
As per INIU, the power bank is 45 percent more compact than typical 10,000mAh models.
It has dimensions of 8.3cm x 5.2cm x 2.6cm (3.3in x 2in x 1in) and is nearly as small as an AirPods Pro case.
In comparison to other power banks, it can be conveniently placed in my handbag or back pocket and is so lightweight that you barely notice its presence.
Weighing only 160g, it’s comparable to holding an apple or a pair of sunglasses in their case.
This significantly simplifies transportation compared to earlier models that were cumbersome, heavy, and unable to fit into a handbag.
It is available in various colors such as black, blue, and pink, ensuring there’s something suitable for everyone.

Charging capacity
The Compact Charger is capable of powering smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and also laptops.
It can charge an iPhone 16 to 63 percent in only 25 minutes, and a Samsung S24 Ultra to 73 percent in the same period.
The gadget can also charge a MacBook Air, providing a 42 percent charge in less than 30 minutes – ideal for emergencies without the hassle of extra weight.
The Pocket Rocket provided enough power to charge my iPhone 15 almost 2.5 times on one charge, while INIU claims it can charge your AirPods up to an impressive 11.5 times.
It’s approved by the airline – allowing me to freely watch Love Is Blind on an 11-hour flight without any issues.
The ‘TinyCell’ technology that the portable charger employs also features a temperature regulation system, which eliminated any worries about my phone becoming excessively hot or experiencing a rapid drain on its battery life.
The device can be recharged in as little as two hours – meaning it will be quickly prepared to provide power to your devices again.
Ease of use
One of my favorite aspects of this device is the included strap that also functions as a charging cable.
No longer do you have to struggle to loop a cable around your portable charger – which often becomes untangled in your bag.
A convenient digital screen shows me the remaining power level, while one USB port and two ‘C’ ports enable charging several devices simultaneously.
A customer referred to the Pocket Rocket as a “Fantastic compact power bank that perfectly balances size and battery life” – a comment I strongly agree with.
Price
The device usually retails on Amazon for £38.99, but is currently available for only £29.68.
I think it would be a great Christmas gift for friends who frequently ask to borrow your portable charger, or for family members who own an older phone that drains battery quickly.

How does it measure up against comparable items?
The JIGA 27,000mAh powerbankis among the top-rated online. It is a compact power bank that provides sufficient energy to charge your iPhone up to five times, and includes an integrated flashlight.
Although it can charge your phone more times than the INIU device, it is significantly bigger, with dimensions of 15.49cm x 3.51cm x 7.59cm.
It also weighs twice as much, at 380 grams, making it noticeably heavier to carry.
Although the JIGA product is more affordable—currently priced at £19.98, down from £26.49—I believe it’s not worth sacrificing on size and weight.
What is its online rating?
The INIU Pocket Rocket has a rating of 4.6 stars from 895 customer reviews. One user called it the “best power bank I’ve ever had,” while another noted that “good things come in small sizes.”
