The United States and Gulf nations have proposed $16 billion to Lebanon in exchange for completely disbanding Hezbollah and starting the rebuilding efforts, according to a report by MTV’s White House correspondent citing U.S. officials.

“This offer might signify the largest support and investment initiative in the nation’s history, provided the Lebanese government agrees to adopt the U.S. plan which requires the state to be the sole entity controlling weapons and making decisions,” the sources added.
