Sri Lanka, November 3 – The Supreme Court has rejected three legal petitions submitted by relatives of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, which aimed to invalidate the Colombo High Court’s decision to freeze their assets.
The asset freeze was implemented as part of an inquiry carried out by the Commission to Investigate Claims of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
A three-judge panel from the Supreme Court, led by Justice Janak de Silva, examined the details outlined in the petitions and chose to reject them, keeping the asset freeze in place.
