Rwanda’s head coach Yves Murenzi has revealed the final 12-player team for the initial phase of the 2027 FIBA World Cup Africa Qualifiers, which will start on November 27 in Radès, Tunisia. The squad has gained a significant boost with the arrival of American center David Joseph McCormack, who joined the team in Tunisia on Tuesday, November 25, where they participated in practice matches against Libya. Rwanda’s first Group C qualifier will be against Guinea on November 27, followed by a match against the host nation Tunisia two days later and another against Nigeria on November 30. All games will be held at Salle Multidisciplinaire de Radès. The 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers will span six phases from November 2025 to March 2027, with a total of 420 games worldwide. In Africa, these phases are scheduled for November 2025, as well as February and July 2026. The top three teams in each group will advance to the next stage, joining three teams from another group.
