The soldiers quickly deployed and carried out a swift clearing operation. Upon spotting the approaching forces, the criminals ran away in chaos, leaving behind their weapons.
“A further search resulted in the recovery of 1 AK-47 rifle, 1 AK-47 magazine, and 3 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition,” the statement mentioned.
During a different operation on Sunday, soldiers stationed at Kufai Amadu freed two kidnapped individuals, Yusuf Musa and Muhammed Umar, following their escape from the kidnappers.
The victims were halted for directions when Mr. Musa Danji and another individual named Yusuf were forcibly taken toward New City within the Kurmi Local Government Area. Ongoing search efforts are being conducted for the other victims.
The report also mentioned that on Saturday, soldiers in Iware conducted an operation in Garin Sambo, Tau Village, Ardo Kola LGA, seizing 2 pump-action rifles, 13 cartridges, 2 motorcycles, and 4 mobile phones.
Two individuals, Baba Wura Sambo and Mallam Adamu Darda, have been taken into custody by the military for additional inquiry.
