The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has extended greetings to Nigerians and personnel of the Nigerian Armed Forces on Christmas Day, urging for unity, harmonious living, and a renewed dedication to the country’s development.
In a Christmas statement released on Wednesday, Oluyede mentioned that the well-being of staff continues to be a key focus for the Armed Forces command.
He mentioned that initiatives are being carried out to enhance the living and working environments, medical care, housing, and benefits for staff, along with assistance for the families of those who have passed away.
He stated, “Allow me to assure our staff that their well-being continues to be a primary concern and central emphasis of the leadership within the Armed Forces.”
To strengthen the abilities of Nigeria’s Armed Forces by increasing cooperation for a more powerful operational stance, backed by better welfare initiatives and effective management to ensure the Armed Forces uphold its essential military principles of protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and development through a comprehensive government strategy.
