The indication of China’s increasing military confidence emerges as Donald Trump disclosedThe U.S. Navy is set to receive a new type of ships that he has named ‘Trump-class’.
The president gave approval for the immediate start of building the first two ships, which he asserts will be the biggest and strongest warships ever seen in human history.
The initial vessel will be named the ‘USS Defiant.’
Referring to the existing fleet as ‘old, worn out, and outdated,’ Trump promised to steer the Navy in the ‘complete opposite direction.’
Trump stated that these new 30,000 to 40,000-ton ships are intended to be 100 times more powerful than the famous Iowa-class battleships from World War II.
Although the plan starts with two vessels, the administration aims to quickly grow to a fleet of 10, with a long-term target of 20 to 25 warships.
The Trump-class ships are being developed as advanced strongholds, equipped with cutting-edge electromagnetic rail guns, supersonic weapons, and powerful lasers capable of eliminating targets.

The vessels are also said to be equipped with nuclear capabilities, artificial intelligence, and large cannons capable of inflicting deadly damage at a “tiny fraction of the cost” compared to missiles.
The leader highlighted that these vessels will be constructed in U.S. naval shipyards, generating thousands of employment opportunities and revitalizing the local shipbuilding sector.
I’m highly appreciative of beauty… These advanced ships will be among the most deadly Surface Warfare vessels… more than ever before.
