December 26, 2025 (KHARTOUM) – A Sudanese military drone attack on the “Biyam Jald” region in South Kordofan State on Friday resulted in the deaths of twelve civilians and injuries to nineteen others, according to the Foundation Alliance and the SPLM-N.

Accounts from competing groups, which have not been confirmed by third parties, indicate that the attack focused on a group of Christians observing Christmas in the town. The region is presently under the authority of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) faction headed by Abdel Aziz al-Hilu.

The alliance affirmed its dedication to creating a secular civil state as outlined in the 2025 Sudan Constitution, which ensures equal rights for every citizen.
