December 27, 2025 (SIRBA, West Darfur) – According to a medical advocacy organization, Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have reportedly killed 200 individuals, including women and children, in assaults on three locations in West and North Darfur in recent days.

The Sudanese Doctors Network stated that the paramilitary group attacked Sirba in West Darfur, along with Um Baru, Abu Gamra, and Kornoi in North Darfur—areas that act as centers for thousands of people who have been displaced within the country.

Referencing accounts from survivors who arrived at displacement camps in Tine, Chad, the network stated that the victims were specifically targeted and murdered due to their ethnic background. It characterized the killings as a “clear breach of all humanitarian and international laws.”

The outbreak of violence has led to a new surge in people fleeing into Chad, where displaced individuals struggle with severe lack of food, water, and healthcare.

“The ongoing nature of these violations will force thousands of civilians into Chad, marking the largest refugee crisis in these areas,” the network’s statement noted.

The group called for an immediate stop to the attacks and requested “unrestricted humanitarian access” for medical and aid supplies. It also condemned what it referred to as “international inaction” concerning the growing violence in the area.

The RSF has been working to strengthen its dominance in western North Darfur, with local sources anticipating additional attacks on communities close to the Chadian border in the near future.
