The funeral prayer ceremony for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close companions of boxing champion Anthony Joshua, is set to occur on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The remains of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele were brought back to the United Kingdom after the deadly accident in Nigeria.
The event will start at 10 a.m. at the London Central Mosque, located at 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
A statement released on Saturday regarding the funeral, posted by Boxing King Media, revealed this, stating: “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”
Ghami and Ayodelepassed away tragically in a road accident in Nigeria at the end of last year, on Monday, December 29, 2025, when Joshua was also present but suffered only slight injuries.
The incident took place on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun region of Ogun State, where the Lexus SUV owned by Anthony Joshua crashed into a parked truck, resulting in the deaths of his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami, and personal trainer, Latif “Latz” Ayodele, on the spot.
The funeral taking place in London will provide family members, friends, and the boxing world with an opportunity to show their last respects.
