The Lahore Gymkhana, under the leadership of Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman, together with the Management Committee and the Lahore Gymkhana Tennis Club, has introduced a special sponsorship award for its notable tennis players Waqar Nisar, Rashid Malik, Khurram Imtiaz, and Furqanuddin Khan, in honor of their remarkable international accomplishments.

The sponsorship was granted by a kind donor to recognize the athletes for showcasing Pakistan at the ITF World Masters Tennis Tournament (MT200) taking place in Khao Lak, Thailand, in December 2025. Participating in their respective age groups, the Lahore Gymkhana players showcased outstanding performances on the global platform.

In two tournaments conducted in Thailand, the group managed to win five championship titles and secured three second-place finishes, highlighting their reliability, talent, and competitive drive. Their accomplishments not only boosted their individual reputations but also brought recognition to Lahore Gymkhana and increased Pakistan’s visibility in international masters tennis. Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman commended the players’ hard work, adherence to rules, and fair play, expressing that their success was a matter of honor for the entire Gymkhana community.
