The Foreign Affairs Department released a statement from a representative on the 4th concerning the Venezuela matter, which said, “Our government calls on all involved to exert every possible effort to reduce hostilities in the area.”
It stated, “We wish for democracy to be restored while the desires of the Venezuelan people are acknowledged, and we hope the conditions in Venezuela become stable quickly through discussion.”
Furthermore, it mentioned, “Our government is doing everything possible to guarantee the security of our citizens living in Venezuela.”
The U.S. administration of Donald Trump sent significant military forces to the presidential safe house in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, early on the 3rd, local time, and detained President Maduro along with his wife.
U.S. media outlets, such as CNN, reported on the 3rd that a plane transporting President Maduro and his wife landed at Stewart Air Force Base in New York, United States.
