Pakistani security agencies launched a significant operation against an alleged arms trafficking network in the Turbat region of Kech district, located in Balochistan, resulting in the seizure of a substantial stockpile of illicit weapons and the arrest of a suspect. According to official reports, the operation took place at the Simi checkpoint on the M-8 Highway, where personnel stopped and inspected a suspicious pickup truck. During the inspection, security forces reportedly found 400 pistols and 340 magazines concealed within the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was detained immediately and later recognized as Ahsanullah, son of Mir Baz Khan, a resident of Peshawar. Ongoing investigations are being conducted to establish the source and intended destination of the weapons. Security officials stated that this operation is part of continuous efforts to combat arms smuggling and prevent illegal weapons from falling into the hands of militant or criminal groups in the area.
