Actor Lee Min-jung refused a request for a “heart pose” at an awards event and honored the late actor Ahn Sung-ki.

Lee Min-jung participated in the ‘2026 Korea First Brand Awards’ event at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 6th, dressed in a black outfit. She had a white flower pinned to her chest. Lee Min-jung was awarded the Grand Prize in the Celebrity YouTuber category during the event.

While taking photos at the event, Lee Min-jung was requested to make a “heart gesture,” but she stepped away, saying, “Today…”

Lee Min-jung said, “As a YouTuber, not an actor, getting this award helps me begin the year on a good note,” but also mentioned, “As an actor, Teacher Ahn Sung-ki, who deeply touched us and created a lasting legacy, has passed away, which makes my heart very sad. I extend my deepest sympathies.”

It was discovered that Lee Min-jung went to the funeral home of the late Ahn Sung-ki following her award ceremony obligations.

Through her social media, Lee Min-jung posted, “I was heading to pay my respects to Teacher Ahn when this photo came in unexpectedly. He was genuinely warm and well-dressed. I will always remember you,” along with an old picture of Ahn Sung-ki.

Ahn Sung-ki passed away at approximately 9 a.m. on the 5th. The deceased actor had been fighting blood cancer since he was diagnosed in 2019. The funeral ceremony is scheduled for 6 a.m. on the 9th, with the burial taking place at Byeolgulidada in Yangpyeong.
