The Nigerian Air Force, functioning within the framework of Operation HADIN KAI’s joint task force, announced an additional operational achievement after carrying out a synchronized air strike in AbbagaJiri located in the Timbuktu Triangle of Borno State.
The Director of Public Relations and Information at the Headquarters, NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement released on Saturday that this accomplishment was made possible through information from various sources indicating the presence of active terrorists, their structures, and hidden logistics facilities in the region, according to Channels TV.
As per the statement, based on intelligence received, NAF air capabilities were subsequently utilized for coordinated monitoring and targeted attacks against recognized objectives.
“The operation was intentionally created to reduce terrorist effectiveness, prevent safe havens, and influence the battlefield for ground troops, while strictly following set rules of engagement and ensuring the safety of non-combatants,” the statement said in part.
Speaking about the operation, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, stated that the mission “shows our strong dedication to providing accurate and impactful air power to assist ground troops. We will keep preventing terrorists from moving freely, finding shelter, and accessing supplies wherever they attempt to hide.”
The recognized terrorist groups were firmly confronted and eliminated, preventing the terrorists from operating freely, while a subsequent operation disabled armed individuals seen moving toward the area.
“Further progress by ground forces into the region confirmed the impact of the air strikes and supported the achievement of the combined air-land operation,” CAS stated.
Reiterating NAF’s operational approach, he stated, “Our operations are meticulously planned and based on intelligence, maximizing impact against hostile groups while protecting innocent people. The Nigerian Air Force will maintain pressure until terrorist networks are entirely destroyed.”

A comparable action occurred in December 2025, as the Nigerian Air Force conducted twoprecision air strikesabout bandit activities in the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The demonstrations, carried out by the Air Division of Operation Fansan Yamma, Sector 2, focused on Turba Hill and a base associated with a criminal chief known as Kachalla Dogo Sule.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame mentioned that the operations were based on “reliable, multi-source intelligence regarding bandit activities in the region.”
