Lebara Nigeria has introduced the Agent Registration Portal, a digital onboarding system aimed at speeding up the growth of its retail and point-of-sale network across the country, according to the telecom company on Monday.
By utilizing the portal, the company seeks to raise awareness, establish trust and reliability in the retail sector, provide chances for Nigerians to sign up and join as Lebara partners, and present the brand as a contemporary, technology-oriented, and opportunity-driven telecommunications provider.
By introducing the ARP, along with its previous customer-oriented digital solutions, Lebara Nigeria aims to support SMEs, independent distributors, SIM vendors, and shopkeepers across the country by eliminating conventional entry obstacles and facilitating compliant, digital-first enrollment on a large scale.
Additionally, it positions itself as a technology-focused telecommunications newcomer, emphasizing rapid service, adherence to regulations, and a broad national presence as it gets ready for full-scale activities throughout the country.
The implementation is part of a nationwide orientation initiative taking place between January and March 2026, aimed at both small-scale retail agents and large-scale distributors.
By utilizing the portal, Lebara seeks to quickly expand its digital and physical footprint throughout Nigeria, while making sure all partners adhere to necessary compliance and verification requirements.
Speaking about the launch, Mary Akin-Adesokan, Chief Operating Officer of Lebara Nigeria, stated that the portal plays a key role in the company’s operational and expansion plans within the nation.
“The Agent Registration Portal plays a crucial role in our plan to expand Lebara’s retail network across the country. It enables us to bring on partners more efficiently, maintain complete compliance, and offer both small retailers and major distributors a clear and dependable method to conduct business with Lebara,” Akin-Adesokan stated in a release.
“Alongside our previous Number Reservation Portal, it highlights our dedication to leveraging digital innovation to make access easier, support partners, and improve the overall telecommunications experience,” she added.
The new platform can be accessed through the company’s website, enabling potential agents and distributors to finish the entire onboarding procedure online. After approval, partner locations are set up as Lebara POS outlets and given training and authorization to offer Lebara starter packs, data packages, vouchers, and other Lebara Nigeria products and services.
The introduction marks a continuation of Lebara Nigeria’s previous digital efforts as it prepares for its complete market launch. Before launching the Agent Registration Portal, the company launched a Number Registration Portal, allowing potential customers to choose and reserve their desired phone numbers prior to the network becoming operational. This service enables users to obtain customized numbers, such as memorable dates, culturally meaningful digits, or easily remembered sequences, via an easy online procedure, providing customers with early influence over their mobile identity.
As per Lebara, both platforms are part of an overarching approach aimed at minimizing obstacles in conventional telecom procedures. The Number Reservation Portal was created to make customer sign-up and customization easier, whereas the Agent Registration Portal tackles persistent issues on the retail front, such as manual documentation, sluggish compliance processes, and extended approvals for agents and distributors.
The process of accessing the portal involves a systematic sequence starting from creating an account and uploading documents, followed by compliance reviews, verification, approval, and activation. Candidates must provide information including their National Identification Number, a valid government-issued ID, Tax Identification Number, and their address details. If all necessary documents are provided, onboarding can be finished in 30 minutes, after which applicants will get an email confirming the next steps.
