Global spending on artificial intelligence is expected to hit $2.5278 trillion (around 3,736 trillion South Korean won) this year, even amid discussions about a potential AI bubble. Experts anticipate that investments will keep increasing.
As reported by Gartner on the 16th, global AI expenditure is projected to grow by 44% this year from last year’s $1.7572 trillion. In the following year, it is anticipated to increase by an additional 30%, reaching $3.3367 trillion.
Spending on AI-optimized servers is projected to rise by 49% from the previous year, making up roughly 17% of overall AI expenditures. Moreover, as technology firms enhance their AI systems, associated investments are forecasted to climb by approximately $401 billion compared to the prior year.
John David Lovelock, a Senior VP Analyst at Gartner, remarked, “The implementation of AI is not just about financial commitment but relies on the preparedness of human skills and company procedures. Established organizations are redefining their AI investment approaches to prioritize verified results over speculative possibilities.”
Gartner reported that, during this year, the implementation of AI will mainly happen through incremental growth with current software providers, instead of as separate initiatives.
