The U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for African Affairs, Bryan J. Ellis, is on an official trip to Morocco. On Thursday, he toured a Royal Armed Forces (FAR) air base in Benguerir.

Throughout the visit, a U.S. representative engaged in talks with Moroccan military personnel regarding “common goals in security, regional stability, and continuous defense collaboration,” as stated by the U.S. Embassy in Rabat.

Previously, on January 12 in Rabat, Ellismetalongside Morocco’s Minister Delegate responsible for National Defense Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, and the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces, Mohammed Berrid.

These gatherings are part of the planning for the upcoming Morocco-U.S. Defense Advisory Committee meeting, set to occur later this year in Washington, with the goal of enhancing military collaboration between the Royal Armed Forces and the U.S. Armed Forces.

As a reminder, the Inspector of the Royal Moroccan Air Force, Mohammed Gadih,visitedthe United States in September, during which he conducted multiple meetings with representatives from the U.S. Department of Defense and the Department of State.
