Hana Card, a top billiards team, secured its second highest achievement in the history of the PBA Team League. Hana Card overcame the previous champion, SK Rent-a-Car, with a 4-1 set victory during the sixth match of the “Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League 2025-2026 Postseason” Final (a best-of-seven series) on the 21st, resulting in an overall score of 4-2 and earning the championship trophy. The team regained the league’s top position two years after winning their first title in the 2023-2024 season and was awarded a prize of 100 million Korean won.
Hana Card secured a spot in the Final by finishing third in the regular season, defeating Crown Haitai 2-1 in the best-of-three semifinals and beating Welcome Savings Bank 3-1 in the best-of-five playoffs. Although they faced physical exhaustion, the team managed to overpower SK Rent-a-Car, who had been the top seed for two years in a row, led by star pitcher Kim Ga-young and Murat Naci Çoklu from Turkey. SK Rent-a-Car, striving for a historic consecutive championship, was unsuccessful once again in the Final, ending up as runners-up after losing to Hana Card in the 2023-2024 season.

In the first set of the sixth game, the partnership of Shin Jeong-ju from Hana Card and Çoklu made their debut in the final, narrowly defeating Eddy Leppens (Belgium) and Ngo Dinh Nai (Vietnam) with a score of 11-10 (in the 10th inning), gaining momentum. Although Kim Ga-young and Sakai Ayako (Japan) lost the second set, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen (Vietnam) won the third set, followed by the fourth set victory by Çoklu-Sakai, securing consecutive wins and bringing the title closer. In the decisive fifth set, Çoklu scored eight straight points from the start and secured an 11-3 victory. After the win, Çoklu celebrated by kissing his cue, while the Hana Card players rushed to congratulate him, enjoying the victory.
The ultimate Most Valuable Player was given to Kim Ga-young, known as the “Billiards Queen.” She secured 6 victories and 3 defeats with an average of 1.278 in the final, contributing to Hana Card’s success. Particularly, she maintained a perfect record of 4-0 in the first and second matches. Her reward amounted to 5 million South Korean won. “I’m extremely happy to win the championship,” she stated. “I faced challenges with my condition during the postseason, but I’m grateful to my teammates who supported me, which led us to achieve outstanding results.”
