The McLaren MCL39 has been selected as the 2025 Champion Vehicle of the Year.

The final ground-effect Formula 1 vehicle from McLaren was the dominant force in 2025, securing 14 grand prix victories and 13 pole positions. McLaren claimed the constructors’ championship, while Lando Norris won his first drivers’ title, with teammate Oscar Piastri finishing third in the standings.

McLaren’s triumph was revealed at the glamorous 38thAwardsin London at the Roundhouse on 21 January.

This is the second consecutive year that McLaren has won the Competition Car of the Year award, after the 2024 MCL38 claimed the title, making it their ninth overall victory.

Additional categories determined through fan voting consist of Driver of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Moment of the Year sponsored by Bahrain International Circuit, Rally Driver of the Year, and British Competition Driver of the Year. Alongside Team of the Year, another new award chosen by fans is Creator of the Year.

Additional honors, determined by panels of experts, feature the Pioneering and Innovation Award, Promoter of the Year, and Brand Partnership of the Year.
