Rwanda’s men’s national handball team coach, Hafedh Zouabi, has selected Dominique Nsabimana, the goalkeeper from Gicumbi HC, for the final squad competing in the 2026 African Men’s Handball Championship, set to take place in Kigali. Zouabi made a small change to his team by including Nsabimana as the goalkeeper, replacing Arsene Uwayezu. Rwanda is placed in Group A with Algeria, Zambia, and Nigeria. The host country will begin their campaign against Zambia on January 21 at BK Arena, with the game scheduled for 8:00 PM, just after the official opening ceremony of the championship. The 27th edition of the African Men’s Handball Championship will include 16 teams, all vying for a top-five position, which ensures direct qualification for the 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship.
