ISLAMABAD, January 21 — The Pakistan Super League (PSL) introduced its latest team on Wednesday when owner Kamil Khan officially revealed the name and emblem for Sialkot Stallionz. This announcement comes after OZ Developers purchased the franchise for Rs1.85 billion in the auction held on January 8.

Speaking to X, Khan stated, “You figured it out. You waited. Now, I am pleased to officially present SIALKOT STALLIONZ.” He further mentioned, “Thrilled to be a part of the Pakistan Super League’s journey,” indicating the team’s dedication to establishing itself as a strong contender in the league.

The PSL 11 is scheduled to begin on March 26, 2026, with Faisalabad joining as a new location, increasing the league’s presence throughout Pakistan. The Sialkot Stallionz are inspired by the previous domestic team of the same name, which has won six National T20 Cup titles from 2005 to 2012, including a 25-game unbeaten run — a record in Pakistan’s domestic T20 cricket.

A major shift in league procedures has been announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board, which stated that PSL 11 will introduce a player auction for the first time in the league’s history, moving away from the conventional player draft process. According to the updated regulations, teams can keep a maximum of four players, with no more than one from each category, as opposed to the earlier rule allowing retention of up to eight players, plus a mentor, a brand representative, and the option to match a ninth player.
