Talented young athletes achieved impressive wins in various age groups during the 4th Chaudhary Nazir Ahmad Memorial Punjab Junior Tennis Championship 2026 held at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.

In the boys’ U-18 division, Amir Mazari from Aitchison dominated M Husnam with a score of 6-1. M Umar Ali defeated Bilal Awais 6-3, and M Muaz overcame Hadi Adeel 6-3. In the boys’ U-14 category, Daniyal Afzal Malik easily beat M Turaab Bhatti 6-0, while Hadi Adeel defeated M Ahsan Bari 6-0. Daniyal Abdullah received a walkover against Ayan Khan, whereas Shahzain Faisal beat Qublie Sheikh 6-0 and M Ayaan defeated Ismail Daha 6-0. In the boys’ U-12 category, Daniyal Afzal Malik beat Ibrahim Khan Laghari 6-3, and Muzamil Khan overpowered M Turaab Bhatti 6-2.

Enhancing the event’s reputation, former Pakistani junior tennis stars Khurram Nazir and Omer Babar are also taking part in the 35-plus doubles category. Khurram Nazir, who was once the top junior player in Pakistan, has played for the country in the Junior Davis Cup and earned silver and bronze medals at the Asian U-14 Championships. He was also chosen to attend the Pakistan Youth Olympics camp held during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His doubles partner, Omer Babar, is also a former number one junior player in Pakistan and has won silver and bronze medals at the Asian U-14 Championships.
