Numerous police-related services, such as reporting lost items, filing cybercrime reports, and renewing driver’s licenses, are now available via a single online platform. The National Police Agency officially introduced the unified police civil affairs system ‘Police Civil Affairs 24’ on the 26th, combining 22 previously separate police civil service websites into one.

The introduction of Police Civil Affairs 24 has led to an expansion in the number of civil services available online. In comparison to the current Police Civil Affairs Portal, the range of online civil services has grown from 52 to 86 categories, while mobile electronic certificates have increased from 5 to 19 types. Many civil services that once necessitated visiting police stations or submitting physical documents can now be managed through remote and online procedures.

It is also possible to make fee payments. By incorporating the Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute’s payment system and electronic revenue stamp payment service on the Police Civil Affairs 24 website, the entire process from civil service inquiries to applications and fee payments can now be managed.

The Police Civil Affairs 24 website enables users to sign in without needing to register separately, using straightforward authentication methods, mobile IDs, and shared certificates. By utilizing the government’s unified authentication system, Any-ID, individuals can access additional government services like Government24 and the e-People petition platform with one login.

The National Police Agency has recently introduced the Police Civil Affairs 24 mobile application. As a result, the service is now available through computers, smartphones, and tablets. A representative from the National Police Agency mentioned, “We anticipate that Police Civil Affairs 24 will improve access and efficiency when applying for and handling police civil services,” and added, “We will keep enhancing its features.”
