A senior general from Germany is urgently trying to get his nation ready for a potential Russian invasion in the coming two to three years.

Major General Gerald Funke, the leader of theGermanThe Armed Forces Support Command (UstgKdoBw) stated to The Times that Russian ‘hybrid warfare’ is his primary worry, alongside losses.

‘Whereas in AfghanistanI had an unfortunately high but controllable number of injured, I now need to prepare for the chance of a thousand injured individuals per day, ‘he said.

The more closely you examine it, the more intricate it becomes, making it increasingly difficult to envision.

He stated: “What concerns me… at the present time is the hybrid aspect, the hidden aspect: sabotage, sleeper cells, some form of targeted attacks.”

I am unable to exclude the possibility of using long-range missiles. However, I believe the hybrid threat is extremely significant.

This is the most recent in a series of alerts from high-ranking military officials regarding the increasing danger fromRussia.

In December, all 32 NATO member nations – including Britain– was cautioned to get ready for a conflict of a magnitude ‘that our grandparents and great-grandparents experienced’.

NATO leader Mark Rutte called on alliesto enhance their defensive measuresto avoid a conflict initiated byRussia.

In a speech in BerlinHe mentioned that too many allies are not sensing the urgency of the threat in Europe, and they need to quickly boost defense spending and production to avoid a war similar to those witnessed in previous generations.

“We are Russia’s next objective. I worry that too many remain calmly indifferent,” he cautioned.

Another specialist has stated that the United Kingdom is already engaged in a conflict with Russia — and this has been happening for ‘years,’ although it is not prepared to acknowledge it.

Keir Giles, a specialist in Russian affairs at the global policy thinktank Chatham House, previously statedAn increasing awareness is emerging that all these adjectives used to describe war, whether it’s ‘hybrid’ or ‘subthreshold’ war, or even ‘covert war’, are practical – as they enablegovernmentofficials to sustain the fictional concept that Russia is not conducting a war against us.

Because if you just label it as war, it implies you need to take action.

Giles emphasized that recent developments indicate a ‘hidden struggle’ that has been occurring for over ten years, a fact unknown to most people in the UK.

From August 2023 to March 2024, there were 46,000 flights in regions including the Baltic,Black Sea and eastern Mediterranean reported interference problems – thought to be caused by Russian involvement.
