The TraitorsVictor Rachel Duffy has revealed that her mother Anne has passed away after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

Rachel was the first woman to be declared a Traitor and winand divide the prize money with Stephen afterwardThe unexpected conclusion of the fourth season of Friday’s series, taking home £47,875.

The 42-year-old stated that she had intended to use theBBCprize money from a murder mystery to fund a dream vacation with her mother, who turned 70 in March.

She has now revealed that her mother has passed away, writing on aInstagramStory: “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our lovely little mom,” along with a broken heart emoji.

We respectfully request your understanding and privacy as our family mourns during this challenging period.

During the show’s massive popularity this January, the communications director from County Down posted a picture of her mother sitting in an armchair holding a white t-shirt that said: ‘My daughter’s a Traitor’.

In the caption, she mentioned that her mother’s advice was, “Don’t get caught!” and continued by stating that Anne served as her role model both on the show and in life.

“Mom was only 47 when she received her Parkinson’s diagnosis (four years older than I am now), and she is now dealing with dementia, yet she continues to amaze me and our family every single day,” Rachel added in the post’s caption.

All that she has done for me and my four brothers and sisters is truly amazing. It has been a honor to share the caregiving duties with her over the years, and we are very proud to have her as our mother.

‘She wanted to display her t-shirt — so say hello and be nice, or I might just kill you,’ she added humorously to her Instagram followers.

Speaking with over the weekend, Rachel had reconfirmed her intentions toUse the funds to make new memories with her mother.

She stated, “My initial plan is simply to be with my family and ask them, ‘What can we do?’ I mentioned this to my mom this morning, and it was the most pleasant thing, so the first step will be to take care of her and the children.”
